Ryder was discovered at the Bear Valley shooting range about 4 months ago. He was scared, hungry and untrusting of humans. Jim and Rocco, the rangemasters, earned his confidence over the next few days and were finally able to coral him. The thing that jumoed out about Ryder was that he was suffering from terrible mange which left hi, with very litlle hair (I suppose that’s why Jimmy related to well to the little guy). Being nearly bald combined with his emaciated frome to make him look extra pathetic. Ryder was just a pup then, about 4 months old, but he has grown and progessed into a spectacular dog- an aesthetic specimen even. Medical treatment and diet has revealed ryder to be a gorgeous red border collie. His attitude is like no other- just full of happiness and joy. His playfullness and postive vibe affects the other dogs on our pack in a very positive way, in fact, he has really helped Maggie to come out of her shell. Ryder is now about 9-10 months old, neutered, mange free and ready for adoption. Give this boy a chance, he won’t let you down.
