Matt and Taylor

~~~~The story of matt and taylor is undeniably touching and it shows you just how strong the bond between humans and animals can be. Matt is a paraplegic and his pit bull Taylor has been his emotional rehabilitation. Matt was forced to move a while ago and during the move taylor was hit by a car. Taylor suffered a severe spinal cord injury and the entire back end of her body was paralyzed. With amazing love for his dog, matt worked to rehabilitate his companion. She can now run and play and even go skateboarding with his friends for exercise. Unfortunately, not to long ago matts’s front door didn’t shut all the way and both of his dogs got out. Taylor got in an altercation with a small dog and animal control took her from matt deeming her vicious and banning her from costa mesa. Matt paid for Taylor’s stay at the shelter to keep her alive and try to find a solution for her. After a lot of networking online, the story was brought to the attention of Marley’s Mutts dog rescue. This is an amazing organization that not only focuses on rescuing and rehabilitating dogs, but helping people along the way. Their goal is to work on rehabilitating taylor while matt is stuck in his lease so that hopefully someday he can get his girl back. Taylor is now here in bakersfield and in need of a foster home so she can get on a balanced routine and begin her work with the amazing Marley’s Mutts trainer Lisa Lisa Porter. She is currently being spoiled by furs and feathers, a doggie daycare and boarding facility here in town. The owners and employees there are wonderful and have been giving Taylor lots of love while she awaits a foster. Taylor needs to be in a home with a large, calm dog. Small dogs and cats are a no go right now. If anyone is interested in fostering Taylor please fill out an application at marleysmutts.com or message lisa or zach.
