Sadie’s pups update - Maxine

A wonderful update from Maxine’s family -

Maxine is one of the craziest fun dogs that I’ve ever known!  She has the cutest mohawk going down the back of her head!  Her personality is that of a fun-loving, daredevil, let’s do it, kid!  She has an amazing way of using her feet - she grabs at things and curls her paws around them (including your arms, legs, neck, whatever, as if they were actual hands with fingers!    She can stare you down, eye-to-eye, not flinching, as if she’s just waiting for you to tell her what exciting thing we’re going to do next!   Next thing, she’s completely on top of you and cuddling, burying her face into you and going to sleep!
She has not changed one bit since we brought her home at the end of January!  I think that she will have the playful mind of an eternal puppy.
Cassidy immediately fell in love with her when we went to AJ and Barb’s to meet the puppies at about 5 weeks old.  Maxine climbed in Cassidy’s lap and that was that!  They have a particularly loving bond that will last forever and I believe that is so important and lucky to have in your life.
Max is the “toy” hound of the family.  From the moment we brought her home, she has been in charge of the toys - gathering them all up and putting them in a pile, making sure that none are taken too far from the others (in other words, hoarding!).  She is such a pretty dog, and has changed in looks the most over the year.  None of Sadie’s puppies really looked like any other, and Max is definitely one of the “Dad’s” babies.  We are so blessed to have found Maxine, Bernie, and Phoebe.  They are so loving and are so loved by our family.  We have had a difficult year of losses and these three are always there to snuggle and cheer us when any of us get down.  They make us laugh and have enriched our lives so much!
Thank you, AJ and Barb, for trusting us and giving us these babies of yours.  Thank you, Zach and Marley’s Mutts, for making it possible to get dogs in need together with people in need and make their worlds a better place!
