Joaquin and his sister Maria came to us when their loving human dad passed away. Joaquin is about 5 years old and is a Jack Russel Terrier Mix. He would fit in a quiet home and is basically a lap dog and likes to snuggle. He walks right by your side on leash knows how to sit, “give you five” and has great manners overall. Joaquin is  incredibly sweet, very smart, great with other dogs, fine with cats, and ready to bond with another human friend they’ll be able to call their family forever.

  • hasn’t really been around kids
  • is good around other dogs, but does take a while to come out of his shell
  • is ok with cats, he has shown interest in his foster home’s cat, but generally leaves her alone
  • has been around chickens, turkeys and goats and leaves them alone
  • knows how to sit on command and walk on leash without pulling
  • is an easy going laid back dog

If you’re interested in adopting Joaquin, you can fill out his adoption application below.
