Hi Zach -

Judy (now Shelbee) is adjusting very well. She has definitely made herself at home. She and Tanner are quickly becoming best buds. She was a little bit timid of him at first, but now she is getting more playful each day. She loves to go to the park down the street and goes full out playing fetch. Her eating has improved and she is now eating only dry food without any problems. She’s a total sweetheart and is definitely getting spoiled with lots of treats, belly rubs and love.

Thank you for the opportunity to give her a loving home. She has made a wonderful addition to our family.

Thank you,

Coree and Jeff
(Tanner and Shelbee too!!!)

This tri-colored sweetheart is Daisy-girl and she is a 1-½ year-old border collie/Australian shepherd mix. For Daisy and me, it was love at first sight. Since the day she arrived, she has been attached to my hip, which includes sleeping in my bed and making the rounds in town. She does everything well: rides well, listens well, performs off-leash very well and doesn’t hog the covers or move much in her sleep. She has a docked tail and is the size of a border collie but doesn’t try to herd or nip. She is extremely well-behaved and even when she gets excited, she’s easy to calm down and isn’t really a nuisance. She also isn’t a flight risk seeing as how she has never attempted to jump our 4-½ ft fence. Daisy-girl would do very well in a home with children and other dogs (possibly even cats). She does need exercise and would flourish in a home that could provide that (she makes an excellent hiking partner).

Meet Sir Gilbert Armstrong, a 6-year-old, Neapolitan Mastiff. Gilbert has shot his way up to the top of the all-time favorite dog list overnight. What’s not to like about him? He’s huge, he’s extremely lovable (to people and pets), and he has the most unique aesthetic of any dog we’ve had. I rescued this fawn-colored fellow from the Bakersfield pound where he was essentially rotting. They did a great job treating his wounds until we could pick him up. At time of rescue, he was about 25 lbs. underweight and his muscles had atrophied a bit. He has been eating like a pig ever since and his balance and stamina have greatly improved. He loves going for off-leash walks around town or up here in the mountains. Unlike most Neos, he is not overly protective and seems perfectly content with whatever his surroundings may be. He is a huge hit where ever we go, and could make your family famous as well. If you are interested in adopting Sir Gilbert Armstrong, please contact Zach at 661-972-3852 or email zach@marleysmutts.com.
This wonderful whippersnapper is Zeek and he is an 8-month-old Cattle Dog mix. Zeek was found stray in Hart Flat and, unfortunately, nobody has come forward to claim him. His is an incredibly happy dog with a contagious zeal for life–in other words, he’s just a happy-go-lucky young dog that loves life. Zeek does well with people and with other dogs and is progressing well at his foster home. He is learning to be housetrained, walk on a leash, and all of the skills that a dog needs to have. Zeek has a gorgeous, smooth coat and a unique tri-color pattern that will make him a hit at the dog park. Zeek doesn’t herd and is essentially adaptable to any scenario: family with kids, with or without dogs, or a single parent. Zeke was neutered this week and is completely vaccinated.

If you are interested in adopting Zeek, please contact Zach at 661-972-3852 or email zach@marleysmutts.com.
