Meet GRACE-our “Boron Betty”-a 1-2 year-old, 55-60 lb., spayed, Australian shepherd-German shepherd mix. Grace was found emaciated and scared at Boron High School, where she sought attention from the kids, and maybe peanut butter and jelly sandwich. She did so well with the kids that the teachers got together and figured out a plan to rescue her. They put their money and resources together and gave her shelter and medical care (which included vaccination and spaying). Now that Grace is fixed and fat and healthy, it is time for the next phase of her life-adoption to a loving home. Grace does very well with other dogs and with humans, but may be better suited for a home without small dogs. She is a handsome doggy with a flowing, soft coat and a very friendly countenance. She exudes “happy doggyness” and would fit in well with a family that is active. She is a smart dog and has shown great ability to be trainable and mindful.
