Gemma Has Been Adopted!

This stunningly elegant Gal is Gemma and she is a 55 lb., 5-year-old, dashing Dalmatian.  Gemma and her 3 Dalmatian rescue-mates were part of a huge felony animal abuse and breeding bust that liberated dozens of dogs.  Gemma spent much of her time in a crate being bred (more times than I care to guess) but, somewhere along the way, definitely received some affection.  Records indicate that she received 6 months of Therapy Dog Training and it absolutely shows in her demeanor-which is very calm, poised and well behaved.  Gemma is truly a gem and has a kind, gentle personality that is rare for any dog, let alone a Dalmatian.  We took Gemma with us to the 4th of July parade here in Bear Valley, and she was none too taken aback.  It was her first time in public since being freed from her captivity and she absorbed the situation very well.  She does very well in a vehicle, is perfect on a leash (and off leash), does well with other dogs and children, and is in excellent health.  Gemma has all the necessary ingredients of a terrific family dog and will no doubt make her future adopters very happy.
