Halo Has Been Adopted!

This handsome young man is Halo and he is a 3-year-old, 55 lb. Dalmatian.  Halo, who is named after the best team in baseball (not the video game), is a classically elegant Dalmatian.  I wouldn’t name just any dog after the Angels, which goes to show how highly I think of this boy.  His look and stance are statuesque and his color pattern couldn’t be any more impressive, but he is not the hyper Dalmatian that people have come to expect.  He and his rescue mates came from a felony breeding operation and were liberated due to the outstanding work of some caring animal control officers.   Despite living in horrendous circumstances, Halo seems none-too-worse-for-wear and even completed 6 months of Search and Rescue Training.   For me, Halo is a particularly attractive and exceptional dog.  I have run Halo nearly every morning since he arrived here and I can’t help but feel extremely proud with him at the end of my leash.  He will run right next to me for miles without so much as thinking of breaking stride or deviating from our course.   Halo has performed well in every situation that I have put him in and will only continue to improve so long as he is loved and given the proper amount of attention.  Halo is not high maintenance but does love his runs and is not the kind of dog that should just be put in a back yard and expected to flourish.  Halo adores lovin’ and I adore him.
