These seven (THAT’S RIGHT, 7!) puppies were left behind at an abandoned house. Apparently the family had been foreclosed on and left the Mom and her seven pups to fend for themselves. Some very good Samaritans up here in Bear Valley sprang into action the very day that Animal Control was coming to take these guys away. The pups were only 2 weeks old at the time, but were taking into foster care with their mom and are doing very well. They are currently 6 weeks old and will be ready for vaccination and adoption at 8 weeks. They are a perfect blend of Shepherd and Akita and display some extra-adorable characteristics. They are Buddha-fat and look like little, tan bears. Despite their early childhood, they are very friendly and playful with people and other dogs which is just what you want to see in puppies. Mom is about a 60-70 lb. shepherd and dad was apparently an Akita, so they will grow to be large.
