This unbelievably gorgeous gal is Cheyenne and she is my new favorite. Knuckles (one of our recent labs) passed the torch to her. I absolutely love everything about this dog: first off, SHE LOVES ME! I mean, we just met but she can’t get enough of me. I’m sure it will be like this with her new adopters. Secondly, she obeys every rule—all of them. She doesn’t jump the fence (but could if she wanted), she stays by my side with no leash, her energy emanates positivity, she is house trained and she doesn’t bark or fuss one bit. These are the qualities of a seasoned, trained canine but she is less than a year old and came from the Bakersfield Animal Shelter!! Her pictures show an expression of pugnacity but I can assure you that she is the opposite. All of our male dogs took one look at her and decided to have a libido-driven free for all, and what did she do? She turned the assault into a game of “tag” and simply out played them! Cheyenne would make a great family dog. To be honest she would make a great dog, period. I can’t imagine a situation that she couldn’t adapt to, even cats.
