Hi Zach,

I just wanted to thank you so much for allowing us to adopt Brooksie. She is such a sweet girl and so smart. As you know, we just recently lost Cheyenne, our Golden Retriever, to lymphoma. She was a part of our family for almost 10 years (since she was 7 weeks old) The last 2 months of her life were the saddest time of my life. She and I were very close and I still miss our old habits. Brooksie is like a llittle ray of sunshine. She’s been with us for 2 weeks now and each day I learn a little bit more about her. She is definitely a little survivor! But I also know that she doesn’t like being left alone. When she is, she cries when she sees me again and needs to be snuggled. She also likes to take naps in tiny, snug spaces…. and at night she prefers to sleep on my bed rather than in Cheyenne’s old spot on the staircase. Oh, and she snores, which is pretty cute.

Thank you again! I have attched a picture of Cheyenne for you to post on the Marley’s Mutts website. We would like the $50.00 donation to be made in her name, and used for whatever Marley’s needs Take care and please keep doing what you do, making miracles for our furry four-legged family members.

Blessings,
Annie

Cheyenne was our beautiful and beloved Golden Retriever who passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012. She came to be a part of our family when she was just 7 weeks old. In her lifetime she said goodbye to her brother Turn Out, our 15 year old Dalmation, welcomed a new little (2 legged) sister, Dakota, and helped a boy overcome his fear of dogs. Andrew was attacked by a watch dog when he was 6 years old and we never thought he would go near another dog again. And if a little girl named Shelby had chosen to play in the All-Star game instead of playing tournament softball all summer, we never would have met Abby and her family. Abby’s family had a dog named Maddy who was about to have 8 puppies. Almost all were spoken for but 2. One was Cheyenne (at the time her name was Suzie). That little Suzie-eyed Cheyenne changed our world FOREVER! Dakota believes that Cheyenne made us a family… I think she’s right. We will love you always Chey-girl.
